This policy (Privacy Policy) explains how The Place (IP) Pty Ltd (ACN 663 363 497) and its related bodies corporate (The Place or Company) seek to protect the personal information of individuals (you).

The Place collects personal information about you so that it can perform its business activities and functions. Subject to clause 6, the main ways we may use personal information to achieve these objectives are:
- Communication: We may use basic contact, enquiry and feedback in order to communicate with you about enquiries or feedback, interest in the The Place platforms or services and to provide information.
- Administration and delivery of services and The Place platforms: The Place will use basic contact information and other organisational information to engage with you in providing the services and The Place platforms. The Place will also use these types of information for administrative purposes.
- Ensuring user safety: The Place may use any type of information collected to prevent and address risks to all individuals. For example, The Place may use information to investigate suspicious or threatening activity.
- Research and development: The Place may use personal information to develop, test and improve the The Place platforms and services.
- Marketing: Subject to law, The Place may use basic contact, enquiry and organisational information to provide you with relevant marketing materials and information about The Place's products and services that we consider may be of interest to you. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications by using the opt-out functionality provided in each marketing communication or by contacting us using the contact details below.

6. The Place's Treatment and Storage of Personal Information
The Place takes reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is protected from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We will use all reasonable endeavours to keep the personal information we collect, hold and use in a secure environment.
- With respect to data we acquire through the Google API or Microsoft API (to the extent relevant), data use is limited to providing or improving user-facing features that are prominent in The Place platform including reading, writing and managing your email, managing your calendar and reading your contacts. Data stored is limited to the minimum necessary to provide the functionality.
- In order to provide functionalities such as email automations, summaries, and transcribe audio recordings The Place integrates with third party AI models. We do not allow those providers to train their AI models using your data.
- The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6.1 Data Retention and Deletion
- The Place securely stores your personal information for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes. We will retain your personal information for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, we will delete or destroy it in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable legal requirements.
- You may request for your data to be deleted by contacting our Privacy Officer using the details set out below. We will process your deletion request in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our legitimate business interests. Please note that some information may need to be retained for legal or regulatory compliance purposes.If you request for your data to be deleted, we will delete it in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable legal requirements.

There may be circumstances in which The Place cannot provide you with access to information.
